Melanie Wilkinson suddenly went home on Monday, February 23, 2009 as
a result of a car accident. Both her mother and grandmother died as
a result of a battle with cancer, so the American Cancer Society was
one of Melanie's most cherished organizations. Fighting cancer is
something Melanie was very passionate about. She has participated in
events such as the Relay for Life for many years. She walked many
miles, even though her legs may have been hurting. She wanted to
support the research so that others would benefit from the cure. The
family is asking for individuals to make donations to the American
Cancer Society on behalf of Melanie Wilkinson to celebrate her
memory and her passion for finding a cure.
